How do I enable or disable multi-factor authentication?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) immediately increases your account security by requiring multiple forms of verification to prove your identity when signing into an application. Snap Projections provides the option for 2-step verification via email.

To enable 2-step verification, click your initials at the top right and select User Settings.

On the User Settings page, ensure that your email address is correct and able to receive incoming messages. (If you need to update your email address, type your new email address in the Email field and click Update).  Enable the checkbox for Two-Step Verification and click Update. Note that you are not required to update your password at the same time.

Next time you log in to Snap Projections, enter your email address and password and click Log In.  If you have two-step verification enabled, and you also check the Remember me checkbox, you will be remembered for 1 week. You won't have to enter a validation code each time your session times out after 30 minutes of inactivity for 1 week. If you do not select Remember me, you will be sent a new verification code each time you need to log back into an expired session.

After selecting Log In, you will see the following page and a 6 digit verification code will be sent to your email address from the sender [email protected].  This code is valid for 5 minutes.  

Enter the code that you received and click Verify to log in. You also have the option to click the Resend Email link to receive a new code if the first code expired.  After 5 failed login attempts, your Snap Projections account will be locked and you will be required to reset your password by clicking on the Forgot password? link.

To disable 2-step verification, click your initials at the top right and select User Settings.

De-select the checkbox for 2-step verification and click Update. You will no longer be required to validate your login with a 6 digit code.
