Dividends from a Corporation
You can input eligible or non-eligible dividends received from a corporation as another income stream in your projections.
NOTE: Dividends entered on the Income page are not linked to any corporation entered into the projections. If you want to track investments in a corporation, please review the corporate component by clicking here. If you enter dividends on the Corporate Planning page, do not also enter them under the personal Scenario Setup -> Incomes page.
To input income from a corporation not modelled in your projections, select Scenario Setup -> Incomes.
Select Add Income. Enter a Description, enter an Amount, and select Eligible Dividend or Non-Eligible Dividend in the Type column. Select an age range for the income if applicable. Leaving the From Age and To Age blank will apply this income from the first year of the projections until the final year.
On the Planning page, you can also adjust the value of the dividend year by year. Make sure to run the scenario to update the projections.
