March 6, 2024 - Release Notes - Improved Terminology and Workflows

Summary:

In preparation for some exciting upcoming features (e.g., the Snapshot one-page Client Report summary, French language within the application), we've made several changes to Snap to improve the consistency and clarity of terms and titles. We recognize the impacts these changes have on your experience in Snap and we aim to balance these changes against the improvements that they will provide in client communications, and as we release the upcoming features built on top of these changes. The following updates have been made:

Enhancements


Default Report Page Order Restructured

We've reorganized the default order of report pages for improved navigation. If you've set Default Client Report page settings previously, your Default settings will remain unchanged. You can change the included pages and the order of the pages from the Client Report -> Report Builder page. Your selected pages and order will automatically save when you navigate away from the page or click Defaults or Generate PDF. If you'd like to save your new pages and order for all new projections, you can click Defaults and Save current page settings for new scenarios.

Checklists in Report Text Editor

We've introduced checklists to the report text editor, enabling you to keep track of client tasks seamlessly.

Other Updates


English Term Renaming

We've updated certain terms in English for better clarity and understanding. For example, Capital Assets has been renamed to Financial Assets.


French Report Terminology Streamlined We've optimized and refined the French terminology used within the Client Report for consistency and a more intuitive user experience.
Report Page Title Updates

Some existing report pages have been renamed for clarity and consistency. For instance, the Cash Flow Summary page has been renamed to Cash Flow Projection.
