How do I upgrade, downgrade, pause, or cancel my account?

Accessing the billing settings

The Billing Settings are displayed under the Organization Settings page.  You can access this page by clicking your initials in the top right corner and then selecting Billing Settings.

NOTE: If you do not see a Billing Settings option under your name, you do not have access to change the subscription type for your account.  If you are part of a team in Snap, your team administrator will need to make billing changes.

Viewing your current subscription type and add-ons

Under the Users section of the Organization page, you can view the current plan and whether you have enabled any add-on features.

Your next monthly or annual payment will be displayed under the Billing section below the Users section.

Changing your subscription

Under the Billing section, your upcoming payments will be displayed. If you have referral credits, these will be displayed here as well.

Here you can update your credit card, change your plan, activate or deactivate add-on features, and cancel your subscription. 

To change your plan, click the dropdown arrow and select your new plan.  Click the green Save button once you have selected a new plan type.

When you attempt to switch to the Advisor Professional plan from your Billing page, Snap will provide a list of clients that still have a corporation. 


To delete a corporation, go to Scenario Setup and select the Corporation button (ABC Corp in this example). Then select Delete.

You will need to do this for each scenario with a corporation.

Add on features

To activate an add-on feature, click the Activate button under Add-Ons. Then click Activate & Update Billing on the pop-up window. To deactivate an add-on feature, click the Deactivate button under Add-Ons

Cancelling your subscription

If you wish to cancel your subscription, please click the Cancel button in the Subscription section.

  • Cancelling a free trial or within 30 days after free trial ended. Your account will be cancelled immediately. If you have already made an initial payment, your credit card will be refunded and you will see this reflected on your statement within 10 business days.
  • Cancelling a monthly or annual subscription. Your account will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle, and you will not be charged again.

Pausing your subscription

If you may be coming back in the future, you can pause your subscription for only $9.99 per month. The most important benefit of that is that all of your data, including the plans you worked so hard to create, will be retained until you are ready to come back or cancel your subscription. You can pause your subscription by calling our support team at 1-888-758-7977 Option 1 or emailing us at [email protected].
